About the Role

Katz Coffee is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead our delivery operations, keep our fleet moving, and ensure our liquid love reaches customers across Texas and beyondon time, every time.
This role is ideal for a hands-on operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can pivot from big-picture route planning to jumping behind the wheel when the team needs it, and genuinely cares about the people, processes, and vehicles that make it all happen.

Responsibilities

Plan, optimize, and manage daily delivery routes using route planning software to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations
Schedule drivers based on business needs, order volume, seasonal demand, and time-sensitive deliveriesensuring the right people are in the right places every day
Manage, support, and hold accountable a team of delivery drivers, fostering a safety-first culture and high standards for customer service
Run a route when neededthis is a roll-up-your-sleeves role, and no delivery is beneath you
Oversee the full fleet of company vehiclescoordinating preventive maintenance, repair scheduling, inspections, and keeping detailed records to minimize downtime
Produce fleet maintenance and performance reports for leadership, tracking costs, repair history, and vehicle health across the full fleet
Manage technology tools and platforms used by the driver teamtraining staff, troubleshooting issues, and identifying improvements to support day-to-day operations
Monitor driver performance through telematicstracking safety metrics, route efficiency, idle time, and delivery accuracy to identify coaching opportunities and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications

Passion for Coffee & Customers: We all share a love for coffee and are passionate about delivering exceptional experiencesinternally and at every stop on the route
Experience: 35 years of experience managing delivery drivers and distribution or transportation operations
Route Planning Software: Hands-on proficiency with route planning tools (e.g. OptimoRoute, Circuit, Samsara, or similar)
Fleet Management: Experience overseeing vehicle maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs, and managing fleet documentation and reporting
Telematics: Comfortable using telematics platforms to monitor driver behavior, safety, and route performanceand using that data to coach and improve
Tech Savviness: Confident managing and supporting technology used by drivers in the fieldtroubleshooting devices, apps, and platforms as needed
Leadership: Strong communicator and motivator who can build accountability, develop talent, and keep a team aligned under pressure
Drivers License: Valid drivers license required and a clean driving record
Problem Solver: Resourceful, proactive thinker who identifies issues early and brings solutionsnot just problemsto the table
