Position Summary:

We are seeking a Production Planning Manager to lead GrayWolf Modular's master scheduling and production planning function across a fast-moving engineered-to-order manufacturing environment. This role will translate backlog, engineering release, material availability, labor capacity, and customer commitments into a controlled factory execution plan. The Production Planning Manager will create the planning discipline that aligns engineering, supply chain, warehouse, production, and project teams around one visible operating plan.

Core Responsibilities:

• Own the master production schedule and planning rhythm that turns booked work into realistic factory execution.

• Translate customer commitments, engineering release dates, long-lead buys, and labor capacity into a visible and controlled plan.

• Drive work-order release, shortage management, kitting readiness, and sequencing discipline across the factory.

• Build planning dashboards and KPIs around schedule adherence, open shortages, WIP age, constraint visibility, and output forecast.

• Lead recovery planning when material, engineering, or labor issues threaten key milestones.

• Partner tightly with warehouse, supply chain, production, and project management so priorities stay aligned.

• Improve MRP / ERP transaction discipline that supports clean planning signals and realistic promise dates.

• Support continuous improvement of GrayWolf's overall planning, production-control, and execution system.

Qualifications:

Required

• 8+ years of production planning, master scheduling, production control, or materials-planning leadership experience in manufacturing, modular construction, or engineered-to-order environments.

• Hands-on success translating backlog, engineering release, material availability, and labor constraints into executable factory schedules.

II. Skills & Competencies

Required

• Strong MRP / ERP discipline with experience driving work-order release, shortage visibility, and schedule recovery planning.

• Ability to align engineering, supply chain, warehouse, and production around one operating plan.

Preferred

• Experience with modular data center products, power equipment, cooling systems, skids, or other high-mix industrial assemblies.

• Lean or continuous-improvement mindset.

III. Education

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

• APICS / CPIM or equivalent planning credential is a plus.

IV. Software & Technology

Required

• Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems, Excel, dashboard reporting tools, and planning systems; experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is a plus.

V. Work Environment
