Overview
The Manager of Warehouse Operations is a Manager role and reports directly to Director of Operations or Sr. Warehouse Manager. The role is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, financial, and functional performance of a TES Warehouse Facility (Shop). A Manager Warehouse Operations provides leadership to production personnel to communicate strategic plans that support the organization's mission and goals. The role establishes facility financial budgets and manages both project financial costs and facility overhead budgets. Responsible for all TES warehouse activities, and coordination with accounting, contract administration, equipment, government compliance, human resources, procurement, and project management personnel to ensure TES effectiveness, efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities
• Equipment scheduling / Forecasting including the on rent / off rent process
• CAD/CAR Reporting
• CAPEX budget & Forecast
• TES physical inventory management / reconciliation
• Overseeing Production/ Maintenance activity at warehouse
• Coordination with Project Team for TES requirement's
• Managing warehouse operations.
• Monitoring the TES drawing changes through PECN.
• Establishes and manages annual capital investment budgets.
• Contributes to TES operational strategy development
• Develops financial and operational objectives within own area and ensures plans are aligned with business objectives
• Development of direct reports with maintained succession plan for role
• Develops relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to identify emerging needs
• Influences customer and/or organizational leadership to accomplish operational objectives
• Anticipates demands to align operational priorities
• Manages resources to ensure financial objectives are met
• In association with the Sr. Warehouse Manager, allocates staff and resources to meet objectives
• Assists Sr. Warehouse Manager in day-to-day administration of employee and Company records
• Responsible for preparing and managing annual and monthly TES warehouse overhead budgets
Local Requirements
• Timesheet review and approval for warehouse employees
• Process Master tool list for projects
• 3rd Party Inspections as needed such as Cranes or Spider Units
• Scheduling meetings with Operations to ensure alignment with schedules and deadlines
• Coordination with Subcontracts regarding extensions and contract billing approval
• Management and oversight of key equipment status
• Lead daily safety meetings
• Entry of any incidents into HSES database (Cintellate)
• Maintain Welder Log
• Reviews CMS and Compliance documents
• Reviews and manages daily reports from security company
• Maintain building permits and fire permits
• TCEQ Reporting
• Sustainability Monthly Reporting
• Sorm Water Program & Permit and any additional environmental permits needed for warehouse operations.
Qualifications
• Typically 15-20 years since first degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years in a Operational role
• Experience in managing vendor(s)
• High degree of computer literacy (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
• Professional degree (Engineering or BS) preferred and/or equivalent work experience
