Job description

Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Compensation: $70,000 to $100,000 per year

Dynamic EcoHome is seeking a strategic, hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our Houston transit warehouse. This position owns warehouse operations, inventory management, procurement, material planning, project staging, and warehouse staff performance.

The right candidate combines operational leadership with strategy. You will anticipate future material and capacity needs, improve warehouse systems, control costs, and ensure installation crews have the correct materials on time.

This role requires ownership, urgency, and independent decision-making. You must identify risks early, act quickly, communicate clearly, and remain responsible until each issue is resolved.

What You’ll Do

  • Take full ownership of warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, inventory control, project staging, shipping, and material distribution.
  • Develop and execute a warehouse and materials strategy that supports installation volume, inventory accuracy, cost control, and future growth.
  • Lead warehouse employees by establishing priorities, monitoring performance, and holding the team accountable for safety, accuracy, and deadlines.
  • Review installation schedules, design plans, and project documents to forecast material needs and create accurate bills of materials.
  • Ensure all required materials are ordered, received, verified, and staged before the scheduled installation date.
  • Respond immediately to shortages, damaged materials, vendor delays, inventory discrepancies, and other issues that could affect a project.
  • Manage inventory levels, reorder points, purchase orders, cycle counts, and material movement through the ERP or warehouse management system.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, track open orders, and identify sourcing options that balance cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with Project Management, Scheduling, Design, Service, and Installation teams to confirm project readiness and resolve material-related issues.
  • Communicate risks early, provide clear status updates, and bring possible solutions when escalating an issue.
  • Establish warehouse procedures, performance metrics, and inventory controls that improve efficiency, accountability, and scalability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and safety-compliant warehouse.

What Success Looks Like

  • Installation crews receive complete and accurate materials on time.
  • Projects are staged before the end of the prior business day.
  • Inventory records consistently match physical inventory.
  • Material shortages and vendor delays are identified before they disrupt installations.
  • Warehouse employees understand expectations and are held accountable for results.
  • Warehouse costs, material waste, and operational delays are continuously reduced.
  • Warehouse systems and processes can support increasing installation volume.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, procurement, inventory management, material planning, or supply chain operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience leading warehouse employees and managing daily warehouse performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret design plans, construction documents, or project plan sets.
  • Experience with purchasing, vendor management, bills of materials, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make timely decisions with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to ownership, urgency, and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting construction, HVAC, electrical, solar, generator, or field installation operations.
  • Experience developing warehouse strategies, procedures, performance metrics, or process improvements.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, vendor negotiations, and RMA processes.
