Job description

Warehouse Operations Coordinator

Midway Staffing is currently hiring a Warehouse Operations Coordinator for a growing logistics and warehouse operation. We are seeking a motivated individual with strong warehouse and logistics experience who can support daily operations while maintaining clear communication with customers and clients. This is a hands-on role that combines warehouse coordination, operational support, and customer communication in a fast-paced environment.

This is not a traditional desk-only customer service position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with warehouse teams, tracking orders, resolving issues, and keeping customers informed through email, internal software systems, and phone communication.

Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Pay rate: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience and interview outcome)

Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer order and shipment updates
  • Communicate regularly with customers through email, phone calls, Microsoft Outlook, and internal systems
  • Process and monitor orders through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Coordinate shipments and resolve issues alongside warehouse operations teams
  • Maintain accurate order status, shipment details, and customer information
  • Track inventory and support operational workflows as needed
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, for communication and reporting
  • Multitask effectively and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Support daily warehouse and operational activities as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse and logistics experience required
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) required
  • Experience with Extensiv 3PL WMS preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable balancing customer communication with hands-on warehouse support
