Job Summary

The Courier Supervisor is a non‑exempt role responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day courier operations at the radiopharmacy site to support reliable, compliant, and high‑quality deliveries. The role focuses on organizing schedules and routes, monitoring delivery activities, addressing operational issues, and supporting adherence to safety requirements, regulatory standards, and internal procedures to ensure consistent service levels.

Key Accountabilities:

Courier Coordination & Team Support

  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance and support to couriers to promote consistent service, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Help coordinate daily work assignments, route coverage, and scheduling to support on-time delivery operations.
  • Support hiring efforts by participating in interviews and onboarding, and train new couriers on delivery processes, safety, radiation handling expectations, and customer interaction standards.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Operational Delivery & Support

  • Perform courier duties as needed, including delivery/pickup of radiopharmaceutical products, documentation, and interaction with customers.
  • Assist with route optimization to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain service-level commitments.
  • Ensure all delivery vehicles are maintained, inspected, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
  • Support inventory transport processes and coordinate with pharmacy staff on product readiness.
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager to support courier and pharmacy operations.

Compliance, Safety, and Quality

  • Ensure courier activities comply with all DOT, NRC, state radiation safety requirements, and internal SOPs.
  • Monitor and reinforce proper handling, transport, and chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Investigate delivery issues, delays, safety events, or customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain required delivery documentation, logs, and regulatory records accurately and on time.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with pharmacy leadership, sales, and quality teams to ensure seamless operational execution.
  • Communicate daily staffing or delivery risks and recommend operational adjustments as needed.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for courier or customer delivery concerns.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree a plus.
  • 2 years prior experience in courier, logistics, transportation, or radiopharmacy operations required.
  • Prior experience supporting day‑to‑day team operations is preferred.
  • Experience in regulated or healthcare-related environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to pass MVR checks and required background screens.
  • Ability to lift packages (typically up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to enter/exit vehicles frequently and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed to support operations.
