Territory Sales Manager

Hiring in: Houston, TX


ProSearch Recruiting Partners, an independent franchise of the MRINetwork specializing in factory automation and manufacturing, is partnering with a global leader in cutting tool technology to bring a Territory Sales Manager. This individual will drive sales growth, support distribution partners, and deliver high-value technical solutions to manufacturing customers within an assigned territory. The Territory Sales Manager will play a critical role in expanding market share by combining strong technical knowledge with relationship-driven sales strategies and best-in-class customer support.


The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for:

·       Managing and growing sales of standard and engineered cutting tool products within the assigned territory

·       Working closely with distributors and key manufacturing accounts to sell, support, and expand product adoption

·       Identifying customer needs, answering technical questions, and recommending solutions through application-based selling

·       Building and maintaining strong relationships with distributor partners, including ownership-level engagement

·       Developing centers of excellence and reference sites to promote and demonstrate product capabilities

·       Visiting top end users regularly to drive engagement, uncover opportunities, and increase market share

·       Conducting sales planning meetings with distributors and aligning on territory growth strategies

·       Monitoring competitor activity and providing feedback on product positioning and market trends

·       Training and educating distributor sales teams (inside and outside) to effectively promote products

·       Documenting and communicating cost savings and value-added solutions to customers and partners

·       Maintaining a strong understanding of territory potential and focusing efforts on high-value accounts

·       Continuously improving product knowledge and technical capabilities in the field


The Territory Sales Manager will have the following experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

·       3–5+ years of experience in field sales within cutting tools, machining, or industrial manufacturing environments

·       Demonstrated experience working with distributors and managing territory-based sales

·       Strong technical aptitude with the ability to support application and solution-based selling

·       Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills in a customer-facing environment

·       Ability to manage a large territory and diverse product offerings effectively

·       Experience staying current with industry trends, technologies, and distributor needs

·       Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams
