Job description

Job Summary
The Distribution Specialist supports the daily distribution operations by assisting with order preparation, verifying shipments, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role focuses on executing assigned tasks efficiently while following company procedures and compliance requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and organizing orders for delivery.
- Verify accuracy of manifests, invoices, and labels using systems such as STS, Treefer, and Leaftrade.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles as needed.
- Support drivers with route preparation and delivery coordination.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams and dispensary contacts.
- Help track deliveries and report any issues or discrepancies to the Distribution Lead or Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the distribution area and vehicles.
- Follow all safety, compliance, and company procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and basic record-keeping.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in distribution, warehouse, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic computer skills; experience with STS, Treefer, or Leaftrade is a plus.
- Must be 21+ and able to register with the state cannabis commission.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in a regulated environment (cannabis, food, beverage, or CPG).
- Forklift or pallet jack certification a plus.
Physical and Mental Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 25 lb. Able to stand for 90% of the time. Comfortable with heights, occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights, filters, trellis netting and ceiling fans up to 25ft. Comfortable working atop and traversing scaffolding, when required. Comfortable with changing environment temperatures and humidity. Exposure to pollen, dust, dander, and other nature elements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Working Environment
Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May be exposed to changes in temperature
