DISTRIBUTION CENTER ASSOCIATE โ€“ JOB DESCRIPTION

Distribution Center Associate Responsibilities:

The Distribution Center Associate is responsible for receiving deliveries, storing inventory in its designated areas, and pulling and packing for outgoing orders. In addition, the Distribution Center Associate is responsible for maintaining quality control of inventory. The Distribution Center Associate reports directly to the Distribution Center Manager.

Distribution Center Associate duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Receive incoming orders and verify daily paperwork
  • Organize product for back stock, following guidelines to maintain quality using FIFO and maintaining proper inventory levels
  • Build pallets of orders for liquor stores and other Company businesses upon request
  • Climb ladders to stock product in designated areas of the distribution center
  • Maintain inventory using available tools and resources
  • Deliver products to liquor stores and other Company businesses upon request
  • Assist in conducting a physical inventory count
  • Pull orders from the computer system
  • Treat vendors and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner
  • Maintain general appearance and cleanliness of the distribution center
  • Operate vehicles in a manner consistent with the Driving Policy of the Company; maintain distribution center delivery truck
  • Maintain clean Motor Vehicle Record throughout employment
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Experience/Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be over 21
  • Able to obtain Liquor License and complete Indiana Server Training Program
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, bend, lift, and climb ladders for long periods of time, up to 10 hours
Hours:

The Distribution Center Associate is a full time position and can work up to 40 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed

Salary/Income:

The Distribution Center Associate is a non-exempt, hourly position
