The Original Content Services Operations team is dedicated to crafting a premier content experience that has a significant impact across the industry, catering to a global digital audience.
The Original Content Services Operations group, part of Apple Services Operations, is seeking a Distribution Operations Specialist for asset distribution, servicing and tracking for Apple branded Original Content. Responsibilities include working with internal and external partners, tracking ingestion & facilitating delivery of all video, audio, and ancillary assets, defining expectations, managing exceptions, troubleshooting rejections and various platform functionality, with the number one goal of on time and accurate delivery and representation of our branded content.
We are a group of self-starters that thrive in a team oriented environment, utilizing analytical skills to compliment problem-solving abilities, to arrive at efficient solutions- all in order to support our collective goal of providing a truly extraordinary global customer experience for our EST/VOD, OTT, and subscription platforms.
Description
Oversee the day to day scheduling, tracking, and verification of distribution orders and activities through various systems
Collaborate with the Mastering, Localization, Distribution, and Ingest Operations teams to identify, order, and execute deliverables (video, audio, and timed text) for internal stakeholders.
Monitor all milestone and delivery due dates, update schedules, issue alerts if schedules are falling behind, and report status throughout final delivery to Distribution Operations Management and other stakeholders
Ensure all title/series information and metadata is available in inventory & tracking systems
Analyze all required components of a delivery package (video, ancillary assets, metadata, etc) are present and formatted properly before distributions are initiated
Analyze delivery log failures and triage to appropriate technical groups
Monitor delivery queues ensuring high priority orders and SLAs are met
Demonstrate working knowledge of digital archival principle, industry standard file formats and delivery best practices
Other responsibilities as assigned by Management
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years experience in Asset Distribution Operations at a studio, television network, or high level industry-related facility
5 + years of working understanding of asset management standards and common fulfillment practices
Strong knowledge and understanding of episodic and movie distribution servicing workflows
Knowledgeable of Audio/Video containers, codecs, and file formats
Strong, working understanding of domestic and localized international versioning (multiple languages, version control)
Ability to be onsite; this role is an in-person, onsite position
Available to work nights and weekends as needed
Up to 5% + travel required; both domestic and international
Preferred Qualifications
Deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of services and hardware (macOS, iOS, Apple Music, App Store, Books, Podcasts, Apple tv+, Vision Pro, Fitness+ etc.)
Collaborative, organized and a team player
Work well under pressure with proven experience working on complex, international, large-scale, and time-critical projects
Ability to handle multiple projects and thrive in a very dynamic environment
Implementation and management of SOP documentation
Strong presentation skills with ability to deliver impactful presentations at all levels of the organization
Must have the ability to make decision independently
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture
A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work in a changing and evolving environment
