Job description

As a Live Good Receiving team member you will be responsible for ensuring the product received meets the established standards set for our production. You will perform quality inspections and are responsible for reporting any discrepancies. Additionally, you must be flexible in handling workload changes, interruptions, and able to return to the task that you were performing. Position will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. Interacts with Sales, greenhouse operations and shipping.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Receive and verify quantity of live goods received vs. P.O. and report discrepancies
  • Inspect live goods received for infestations, diseases, and proper spec; report any variances
  • Unpack product received, separate and label for ease of identity and place in the correct locations within the warehouse/Plant facility
  • Verify quantity of buy-ins received; ensure they meet the agreed upon spec
  • Finished buy-ins need audited against BOM
  • Report location of where buy-ins have been received and stage for all facility awareness
  • Create and maintain reports documenting errors and issues
  • Float between quality and inventory when downtime exist
  • Place product in cooler with the date received as required and notify facility on YP tracking form

QUALIFICATIONS and education requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years combined warehouse/inventory control experience
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Good math, reading, communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pay attention to small detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Knowledge and experience in Quality Systems preferred (NAV experience a plus)
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Must be a self-starter, energetic, and results-oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks under deadline pressure
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees and management

PHYSICAL Environment & Requirements:

  • Climate controlled office or home office environment
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
  • Frequently requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, and handling
  • Occasionally requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting (up to 20lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
  • Rarely requires climbing
