JOB SUMMARY
Send Network State Directors- serve as the leaders of the Send Network State partnerships leading out in fulfilling the Send Network mission of planting churches everywhere for everyone
MINISTERIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • The person filling this role must meet the biblical qualifications to serve in the Senior Pastor role as reflected in 1 Timothy 3:1-15 and Article 6 of the Baptist Faith & Message 2000

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Church Planting Leadership
  • Lead Send Network church planting efforts in South Carolina.
  • Work with pastors and convention leaders to create a positive church planting culture throughout the convention.
  • Build coalitions of pastors and Associational leaders in key areas to lead out in church planting efforts in their region.
  • Work with Church Planting Catalysts to create, implement, and execute the Send Network strategy.
  • Lead the CPC to cultivate relationships, coach towards multiplication, and catalyze movement as described in the CPC job description.

Multiplication & Church Development
  • Encourage and equip pastors to lead their churches to become multiplying churches utilizing Send Network Pipeline.
  • To lead Send Network in educating and equipping local churches and associations in the implementation and execution of residencies and apprenticeships.
  • Understand, implement, and effectively operate Send Network church planting pathway systems (assessment, training, coaching, orientation, and care) sufficient for the needs of church planters in the convention.
  • Ensure development of each missionary on their team to see them reach their full potential as a missionary and to attain their goals.

Catalyst Oversight
  • Provide evaluation and oversight with Catalysts in achieving the goals agreed upon with the Send South Director and Convention partners.

Communication & Promotion
  • Direct any events/promotions utilizing the Send Network branding and marketing guidelines.
  • Communicate and filter information effectively and appropriately upstream and downstream in all areas of church planting.

Administration
  • Administer Send Network Church Planting Budget.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
SPECIALIZED SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or four or more years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of the Southern Baptist Convention, Baptist doctrine, history and polity, and the interrelationships of SBC agencies, state conventions, associations, and churches.

OPTIONAL
  • Seminary Degree
