Whether receiving merchandise, stocking inventory, preparing deliveries, loading trucks, assisting guest pickups, or serving as a delivery partner, your work directly impacts the guest experience. Responsibilities

Receive Merchandise

  • Unload inbound furniture and mattresses safely.
  • Inspect products for damage or shortages.
  • Verify shipments against receiving documentation.
  • Barcode and accurately receive merchandise into inventory.
  • Report discrepancies promptly.

Inventory Management

  • Transport merchandise using forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Scan merchandise into correct warehouse locations.
  • Accurately maintain inventory using barcode systems.
  • Rotate inventory and maintain organized storage locations.
  • Assist with inventory counts and audits.

Prepare Deliveries

  • Pick merchandise accurately for customer deliveries.
  • Prepare furniture for delivery, including inspection, assembly, and protective wrapping when needed.
  • Stage deliveries in proper loading sequence.
  • Ensure products leave the warehouse clean and damage-free.

Load & Unload

  • Safely load delivery trucks to maximize efficiency while protecting merchandise.
  • Secure products properly for transportation.
  • Assist with unloading transfer trucks and customer returns.

Guest Pickup Assistance

  • Welcome guests professionally.
  • Verify pickup paperwork.
  • Retrieve merchandise accurately and efficiently.
  • Safely load purchases into guest vehicles.
  • Thank guests for choosing Furniture Mall.

Delivery Support

  • Serve as a delivery partner when needed.
  • Assist with in-home deliveries, setup, and product placement.
  • Help create an exceptional final experience for our guests.

Warehouse Excellence

  • Perform equipment inspections.

Every Warehouse & Distribution Specialist is expected to become proficient in multiple areas of the operation, including receiving, inventory management, order picking, product preparation, truck loading, customer pickups, and delivery support. Cross-training allows us to better serve our guests, support one another, and create more opportunities for individual growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and maneuver furniture and mattresses weighing up to 300 pounds (team lifting required).
  • Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Warehouse or distribution experience.
  • Furniture, appliance, or mattress handling experience.
  • Forklift, reach truck, or order picker experience.
  • Experience using barcode scanning systems.
  • Basic furniture assembly experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card (for delivery support positions).

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull furniture and mattresses weighing up to 150 pounds using safe lifting techniques and team lifting.
  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Operate forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided where applicable).
  • Work safely at heights when operating approved warehouse equipment.
  • Work in varying warehouse temperatures and environmental conditions.
  • Maintain the physical ability to safely perform warehouse and delivery support responsibilities.

The Distribution Center is Open Monday - Saturday.
Hours Available Monday - Saturday between 7:30AM - 7:00PM
Full Time 40 Hours
Part Time 16 - 20 Hours
