Job Title: Material Distribution Clerk

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Inventory management technician also known as attendants, clerks, material handlers, material management specialist play a critical role in keeping clinical operations running smoothly. They are responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, and delivering medical goods throughout an acute care facility. This role ensures departments have the necessary goods to provide patient care efficiently and safely.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma
  • Working knowledge of stock management and operations.
  • Professional communication, written and verbal, in dealing with all levels of staff and management
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to fifty pounds

Preferred:

  • Hospital supply chain experience
  • Warehouse/distribution background preferred

Scheduling requirements

  • Shift- 7:00am-3:00pm
  • Monday-Friday with rotating weekend and holiday
  • Full Time- Day

Essential Functions:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify items against packing slip.
  • Independently complete receiving process using supply chain technology
  • Prioritize overnight, regulated, and perishable goods following guidelines
  • Utilizes tissue tracking platform to properly track and deliver to customers
  • Unpack and store supplies in appropriate locations.
  • Track inventory levels and restock supply rooms, carts, and stations
  • Use current Supply Chain technology to replenish supplies.
  • Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates
  • Use the First in First Out (FIFO) method of stocking
  • Follow infection control, safety, and hospital procedures
  • Keep storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
