What do we need:
We are seeking a Distribution Associate to join our Midwest Regional Service Center team in Final Mile/Fulfillment. This position will work a 2nd shift schedule on Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.

The Logistics Division supports our customers, manufacturing plants, and global affiliates through their warehousing and Service Centers across the United States and Canada. They support all aspects of our business throughout the supply chain, including the final orders to our customers. Their motto is "Perfect Orders Every Time," they strive to exceed their customers' expectations through a flexible and agile workforce. The Midwest Regional Service Center (MWRSC) is our largest facility, based in Ada, Michigan, and provides pick, pack, and ship services to local Amway Business Owners and domestic and international warehousing. As a Distribution Associate on the team, you will ensure that orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped out to our customers.
How you would contribute to the role:
You will have multiple responsibilities and variety in this role. You will pick, pack, and ship orders to customers. You will be responsible for outbound orders on-site and across the globe. You will be operating a Hilo to load and unload trucks and store and move materials. You will also assemble product kits and process returns. This position will require employees to be available Monday through Friday, with the department determining which days will comprise the 40-hour work week based on scheduling demands.
Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment involving merchandise handling. 1 to 3 years is preferred
  • Possess desire to learn and gain ability to drive a Hilo within 6 months of starting role
  • Experience working within a fulfillment center or pick, pack and ship operation is preferred

Physical requirements of position:
  • Frequent bending and continuous twisting for the purpose of working on equipment from below level to overhead, picking, gathering and packing orders from shelves to conveyors and loading and combining orders, adding raw materials to blends and weigh-up
  • Frequent computer operation (e.g., typing, reading monitor, etc.) for up to 6 hours
  • Frequent gripping for up to 6 hours, for the purpose of operating hand and power tools, equipment hand controls, gripping ropes and/or chains, and selecting and grabbing product for mixing, packing, or shipping/receiving
  • Continuous lifting and carrying of 50-pound packed boxes and equipment
  • Continuous standing and walking up to 8 hours.
  • Continuous use of upper body (arms, wrists, hands) for up to 12 hours
  • Continuous twisting for the purpose of picking, gathering and packing orders from shelves to conveyors, adding raw materials in weigh-up and blending, and turning while driving moving vehicles
  • Frequent climbing for the purpose of climbing on and off equipment on ladders

Skills to be successful in the role:
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service by building orders accurately.
  • Basic computer skills, including inputting, retrieving, and analyzing data input into various warehouse programs and applications. Prior experience working with Red Prairie and JD Edwards Software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, initiative, and desire to develop and lead people are preferred.
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment and tools safely. This may include a pallet jack, utility knife, and shrink-wrap machine
