Volt is immediately hiring for Distribution Associates in Cambridge, OH
As a Distribution Associate you will:
Learn and perform multiple functions within the warehouse. These functions include but are not limited to picking and packing finished goods, loading outbound trailers, and other duties assigned by the Leadership team. All duties require 100% accuracy in performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Picking

1. Orders will be picked with an RF Gun.
2. Complete all work in an accurate and efficient manner.
3. Must be able to perform functions on the computer.
4. Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment, occasionally a high-demand environment.
5. Maintaining housekeeping responsibilities daily.
6. Other duties may be assigned.
Packing
1. Must be able to follow instructions as specified by customer request i.e., specific. markings, special product stacking, use of special pallets, etc.
2. Responsible for the retrieving and transporting of material per the daily work schedules.
3. Complete all work in an accurate and efficient manner.
4. Must be able to perform functions on the computer.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment, occasionally a high-demand environment.
6. Maintaining housekeeping responsibilities daily.
7. Other duties may be assigned.
This is a Temp to Permanent Hire opportunity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be self-motivated and able to follow instructions with limited supervision.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have successfully completed and passed Emerson's training on all required equipment which included but is not limited to; fork trucks, standing crown pick trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
• Must be comfortable working at heights of 20 feet wearing fall protection gear.
• Must follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, travel up and down stairs, and walk/stand/work on concrete for 8+ hours.
Shift Times:
2nd Shift: 2:00PM - 10:00PM (M-F)
3rd Shift: 10:00PM - 6:00Am
Pay Rate:
$17.00/ per hour
