Job description

Warehouse Clerk

Position Summary: Receive and check in items that are delivered. Process backorders, fill orders. Place in location or ship out per requests.

Essential Functions: Other duties may be assigned

  1. Check any parts that come in and route to appropriate location.
  2. Fill all backorders for customers, pack and place in location for pick up or to be shipped.
  3. Apply any freight charges that are due for incoming or outgoing.
  4. Prepare parts for shipping. Pack securely.
  5. Process claims with carriers.

Other Functions:

  • Get customers parts from a given location.
  • Inform salesmen of any irregularities with backorders.
  • Be the representative for parts where couriers are concerned.
  • Turn off lights and fans at day's end.
  • Sweep warehouse floor
  • Dust warehouse shelves
  • Delivery of company interoffice mail
