Job description

JOB TITLE: Dispensary Manager

AUTHORITY & SUPERVISION:ย 

  • Reports directly to the Regional Retail Operations Manager, with additional oversight by the Vice President of Retail Operations
  • Oversees all Dispensary staff

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 


Daily Store Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dispensary
  • Maintain store compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Complete all financial reporting
  • Oversee physical inventory as well as, storage and supply of cannabis
  • Oversees all Dispensary team members
  • Coordinate with HR on staffing needs and recruiting process
  • Maintain HR review schedule (60 day Review & Annual Evaluations) and give employees constructive and helpful feedbackย 
  • Coordinate scheduling of Dispensary team members to ensure fair and consistent schedules
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Dispensary and ensure SOPs are followed
  • Update SOPs as changes to policy and/or regulations occur and ensure compliance among team
  • Inspire, motivate, supervise, and provide guidance to Dispensary team members
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels in coordination with the Inventory team and keep track of expired products
  • Coordinate and communicate necessary information for bi-weekly team/management meetings
  • Coordinate and prepare new hire training materials
  • Collaborate with other department managers on Inventory, pricing, allocations and budget needs
  • Maintain all systems and equipment with dispensary
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve any equipment, systems or problems that arise
  • Manage financial records and daily cash handling proceduresย 
  • Maintain a clean and organized store
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Sales and Customer Service

  • Provide and inspire retail staff to deliver best-in-class customer service
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge
  • Lead staff to exceed goals set forth by the Regional Retail Operations Manager, and Vice President of Retail Operations
  • Review all customer feedback, requests, and concerns and provide resolution

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be proactive, have strong work ethic and pay great attention to detail
  • Organizational and time management skills required
  • 5+ years of experience in a general management position
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business or related experience preferred
  • Cannabis experience preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Possess valid driverโ€™s license or state ID
  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends
  • Must be, and continue to remain, fully compliant with all laws, regulations, and company policies ย 
  • Frequently moves up to 30 pounds of equipment/materials/product within rooms (100 pounds with assistance)
  • This job function may include being in a stationary position or moving for extended periods of time
