Motor Express Montreal is local transport company servicing the Greater Montreal Area specializing in LTL services.

Job Description

To coordinate all pickups and deliveries within the city in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible thereby maximizing profitability while maintaining strict service standards and observing legal and company guidelines by performing the following duties.

  • Scheduling to execute all of the terminals pickups and deliveries
  • Responsible in working in an efficient and cost effective manner making improvements as needed
  • Verify equipment and driver availability including start times. 
  • Dealing with customers, drivers, central dispatch, Terminal Manager, etc.
  • Supervisory duties include all city drivers – 23  brokers.
  • Providing recaps and follow ups on pickups and deliveries
  • Booking delivery appointments
  • Payroll for drivers
  • Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
  • A thorough working knowledge of the city you work in is the biggest asset
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of equipment
  • Organized with good time management skills
  • Aptitude for math
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Computer skills - LTL 400 considered an asset
  • Fluent in both French and English (Verbal and Written)
