Job description

The Dispatch Manager leads a large team to effectively coordinate and manage the scheduling and routing of fleet operations across both interstate/regional and daily local routes. Reporting to the General Manager, this role ensures smooth dispatch operations during regular business hours, emphasizing safety compliance, performance monitoring, and excellent customer communication. Strong leadership skills are required as the direct report of all members of the Driving Team. Upcycle offers room for growth within the organization and management team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily dispatch operations and route planning
  • Supervise and manage a large dispatch team of 16 or more members
  • Develop and optimize fleet schedules for efficient deliveries
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding deliveries and issues
  • Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Generate operational reports for management review
  • Conduct staff training to improve team capabilities and service quality
