Overview
The Loan Entry Specialist will support Disclosure Desk in reviewing loan applications to ensure completeness and accuracy. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the efficiency and quality of the loan processing function.
Responsibilities
  • Retrieve, review, and accurately enter preliminary information from loan submission packages into the system.
  • Establish new loan files in Encompass, ensuring all required fields are completed and documenting the system-generated loan number.
  • Order and track credit reports in a timely manner to support loan processing.
  • Prepare and submit initial fee information to the Disclosure Desk for timely disclosure generation.
  • Organize and assign all received documentation to the appropriate document placeholders within the loan origination system.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of loan files, ensuring timely issuance of required disclosures in compliance with federal regulatory requirements, and verify pricing components for accuracy.
  • Monitor file aging and escalate loans exceeding two (2) days to ensure timely processing and adherence to service level expectations.
  • Review and validate Government Monitoring Information (HMDA) for completeness and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years in administrative or data entry experience; experience in banking operations, loan procession, mortgage or financial services industry preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), familiarity with automated loan origination systems (LOS) is strongly preferred
  • Consistently maintains high accuracy while meeting tight data entry deadlines
  • Customer-focused, skilled in managing challenging interactions and delivering positive outcomes
  • Highly organized with strong time management in fast-paced settings
  • Effective communicator across all levels
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
