Job Description
The Web Production & Development role supports the strategy, build, and maintenance of Cresset's digital properties. This position combines hands-on front-end development, web production, and light custom coding with a strong understanding of modern WordPress environments.
Working under the Director, Web Systems Manager, this role plays a critical part in implementing site enhancements, maintaining brand and technical standards, and ensuring ongoing web reliability. The position also provides backup coverage for core web systems to maintain continuity during high-demand periods or key transitions.
This role is ideal for a mid-level web professional (3-7 years) who thrives in execution and problem-solving and is looking to deepen technical expertise within a growing, enterprise-level marketing technology stack
Key Responsibilities
Web Production & Content Implementation
  • Build and update landing pages, templates, and reusable content blocks using WordPress and Elementor.
  • Manage content updates, forms, imagery, and metadata to ensure consistency across all Cresset websites.
  • Maintain brand alignment, responsiveness, and accessibility across all platforms.
  • Translate marketing requirements and creative direction into clean, functional page layouts.
Front-End Development
  • Develop and maintain custom CSS, JavaScript, and HTML to extend site functionality.
  • Create and maintain custom widgets or components for specialized use cases.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Web Systems Manager to improve site performance, usability, and scalability.
  • Support custom search logic, conditional content rendering, and light integration work as needed.
Maintenance, QA, and Support
  • Perform routine site checks, link audits, and content testing.
  • Support plugin updates, testing, and documentation in coordination with the Web Systems Manager.
  • Provide backup coverage for hosting, caching, and DNS triage when required.
  • Collaborate with IT on support tickets, SSL renewals, and other web infrastructure requests.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
  • Partner with Growth Marketing to deploy and validate campaign-driven landing pages, tracking, and analytics tags.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, and Compliance to ensure all content meets technical and data standards.
  • Maintain structured workflows for version control, staging, and publishing.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate repetitive production tasks.
Training & Internal Enablement
  • Assist in training internal WordPress/Elementor users on templates and approved workflows.
  • Document web processes and maintain internal references for consistent content management.
  • Support new site integrations, redesigns, and rebranding efforts as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of experience in web production, front-end development, or digital marketing technology.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Elementor, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Working knowledge of PHP for light customization and debugging.
  • Understanding of SEO/GEO fundamentals, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, GA4 and analytics integrations.
  • Familiarity with hosting environments (WPEngine preferred) and general web architecture.
  • Strong attention to detail, technical troubleshooting skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience in Marketing Cloud Engagement beneficial

What We Offer:

Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location. Cresset offers a competitive compensation package including an annual incentive and a benefits package to all full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, health savings accounts, short and long-term disability insurance, voluntary critical and accident insurance, and pre-tax parking and transportation programs.
