Assistant Director, Video Storytelling
The Assistant Director, Video Storytelling leads the planning and execution for video work that supports Enterprise Marketing priorities across assigned lines of business and internal partners. This role serves as the senior individual contributor responsible for shaping video recommendations, translating business goals into channel-appropriate creative approaches, and guiding work from intake through delivery with strong accountability for quality, consistency, speed, and business alignment. The role combines strategic consultation, creative leadership, and production expertise to ensure video content is high quality, effective, scalable, and aligned to brand, audience, and channel needs. This position also helps establish team standards, improve workflows, and expand in-house capability through repeatable production models, emerging technology, and coaching of other video team members.
Job Duties:
  • Lead video strategy and production for pod-aligned marketing initiatives, including creative concepting, storyboarding, scripting support, filming/remote capture coordination/execution, editing, motion graphics, audio design, captioning, versioning, and final delivery for all digital channels, while upholding standards for quality, storytelling, brand alignment, accessibility and channel fit.
  • Partner directly with Lines of Business, Campaign Leads, Creative Directors and Channel/Channel-adjacent teams to interpret business objectives and campaign priorities into strategic video content recommendations, aligning on approach through regular collaboration and translating requests and ideas into channel-optimized video deliverables.
  • Travel as needed to plan and execute on-location video capture, independently conducting filming sessions with minimal to no oversight by setting up and operating content capture equipment (e.g., camera, audio, lighting), directing basic on-site production logistics, and ensuring footage is captured to meet defined business objectives and channel requirements.
  • Shape campaign conceptualization through partnership with broader creative team, developing channel-informed video concepts aligned to campaign objectives, messaging, and brand standards, translating partner inputs and performance learnings into clear creative direction. Present concepts to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Optimize videos for continuous improvement by incorporating engagement feedback and performance learnings from partners (e.g., paid social, website analytics) to refine creative structure, pacing, formats, and cutdowns, and to inform testing and future recommendations.
  • Improve scalable production and creative capabilities through emerging technology and repeatable templates, including AI-enabled voiceover and scripting tools and Adobe ecosystem capabilities (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Adobe Express) to accelerate timelines, improve consistency, and reduce external vendor dependency.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to own the full lifecycle of digital video content-from concept and scripting support through capture/production, post-production (editing, motion, audio, captions), versioning, and delivery across digital channels.
  • Ability to work directly with Lines of Business, campaign leads, and channel partners to clarify objectives, interpret priorities, and translate requests into channel-optimized video recommendations and deliverables.
  • Ability to independently plan and execute on-location shoots with minimal or no oversight, including setup and operation of content capture equipment (camera, audio, lighting) and management of basic on-site production logistics to meet business and channel requirements.
  • Ability to partner with the broader creative team to shape campaign conceptualization and develop channel-informed video concepts aligned to campaign objectives, messaging, and brand standards; translate inputs and learnings into clear creative direction.
  • Ability to incorporate engagement feedback and performance learnings (e.g., paid social, website analytics) to refine structure, pacing, formats, and cutdowns, and to inform iterative testing and future recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled and emerging creative tools (e.g., AI voiceover/scripting, generative capabilities) and the ability to operationalize scalable workflows and repeatable templates that improve speed, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present creative approaches, recommendations, and outcomes in a clear, partner-ready format.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in video production, post-production, or video storytelling roles supporting digital marketing, brand, or communications objectives.
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end digital video storytelling across channels (e.g., web, social, email), including examples of concept development, on-location or remote capture, editing/post-production, and optimized cutdowns/versions aligned to campaign objectives and channel requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and delivering performance-optimized video content across channels, including ownership from intake/brief through final delivery.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard video editing and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) including post-production tools and workflows that incorporate audio enhancement and captioning.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with broader teams to translate objectives into strategic, channel-optimized video deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct on-location filming with minimal oversight, including operation of content capture equipment (camera, audio, lighting) and basic on-site production logistics.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience collaborating with a broader creative team to support campaign conceptualization, aligning video concepts to campaign messaging, visuals, and brand standards.
  • Experience applying performance insights (e.g., paid social and website analytics) to optimize video formats, cutdowns, pacing, and creative approach for continuous improvement.
  • Experience coaching and enabling teammates on tools, workflows, and best practices.
