Job description

What you'll do:
Bring high-impact broadcast storytelling to life through video and design. NinjaTrader Live is looking for an Art Director with a specialty in video and motion graphics to shape and set the tone for the visual identity of NinjaTrader Live and all experiences across the livestream, every social clip, every lower-third, and every visual component we put in front of our audience. One day you're cutting a sizzle reel for the livestream. The next you're building out an impactful intro for a new segment launch. The day after, you're turning around a same-day social clip from a community meetup. This is a hands-on art direction role - you elevate the visual standard, direct a Senior Graphic Designer, and own the output end to end. If you thrive in fast-moving, live production environments, bring forward a strong vision, and understand how to build intentionally for different channels and scenarios, this role is for you.

In this role you will:
  • Own the visual direction for NinjaTrader Live and all NT Live-adjacent creative - establishing a cohesive look and feel across broadcast, social, email, and experiential touchpoints
  • Define and develop video and motion graphics systems (intros, outros, stingers, lower-thirds, sizzle reels, social clips) that elevate and unify the brand's dynamic identity
  • Leverage AI creative tools as a core part of your workflow, not a novelty
  • Direct and contribute to video editing across formats - livestream recaps, social cutdowns, ads, highlight reels, and promotional content
  • Define creative standards for short-form video, ensuring strong hooks, pacing, and visual treatments optimized for engagement and retention
  • Direct the Senior Graphic Designer, ensuring static and motion systems evolve cohesively and the creative bar stays high across every deliverable
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback that supports the growth and output of your direct report while maintaining quality and consistency across all work
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with producers, media, and social teams to translate business goals into compelling visual storytelling
  • Own the creative process from concept through execution - balancing hands-on design work with strategic oversight
  • Stay ahead on motion design, video, live streaming assets, and AI creative advancements
  • Build the systems that make scale possible: own templates, style guides, and asset organization workflows that enable the team to produce more, faster, without losing consistency
  • Own and delegate the creative schedule - managing multiple live and in-progress projects with competing deadlines and same-day turnarounds
What you'll need:
  • 5+ years of experience in motion graphics, video editing, or art direction roles
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, video editing, and brand storytelling across multiple platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop
  • Experience developing and maintaining visual systems across multiple content channels
  • Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement in both long-form and short-form video and how delivery varies across channels
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality video, static, and motion creative across multiple formats, markets, and languages at speed
  • Ability to shape creative vision while remaining hands-on in execution
  • Experience managing or directly overseeing at least one designer or creative contributor
  • Familiarity with working in fast-paced environments with tight turnaround times, ideally in live or near-live production settings
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in content-driven environments
  • Strong communication skills and ownership with the ability to align stakeholders around a shared creative vision
  • Strong design fundamentals: typography, composition, hierarchy, color
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Bonus points for:
  • Experience working with fast-paced live broadcast or streaming content
  • Familiarity with trading, financial markets, or fintech products
  • Experience partnering closely with designers across disciplines (static and motion)
  • Knowledge of social media performance and content optimization strategies
  • Deep hands-on experience with AI creative tools like Veo 3, Runway, Pika, Midjourney, Sora, ElevenLabs, Synthesia
Compensation:
The salary range for this role will be $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 10%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 23 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays.
