ROLE SUMMARY: Responsible for creating, editing, and delivering high-quality, on-brand content from concept through end deliverables to promote the company, our auctions, and specific items for auction. We are looking for a motivated, versatile professional passionate to tell brand stories through digital content. The ideal candidate is creative and strategic, with a proven track record of collaborating with writers, art directors, designers and creative directors, and marketing/ account stakeholders. In this role, you'll be a part of the Communications Team in the Marketing Department, reporting directly to the VP of Creative.

LOCATION: Heritage Auctions, Beverly Hills Office

COMPENSATION: $65-85k annually (Commensurate based on experience.)


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Create platform-optimized video content tailored to social media channels including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
  • Analyze video performance metrics (views, engagement, retention) to inform creative decisions and optimize future content.
  • Create quick-turn, high-volume video content while maintaining brand and quality standards.
  • Manage all aspects of video production, including concepting, planning, shooting, lighting, audio capture, and post-production.
  • Develop concepts, scripts, and storyboards for video projects across a range of formats and lengths.
  • Direct on-camera talent, including coaching for delivery, tone, and performance.
  • Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and media libraries.
  • Leverage emerging tools (including AI-assisted editing, captioning, and content generation) to improve production efficiency.
  • Ensure videos meet accessibility standards, including captions, transcripts, and appropriate formatting.
  • Capture high-quality still photography for multimedia projects, including detailed product imagery (e.g., jewelry and minerals) requiring macro techniques, controlled lighting, and precise focus.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing and design tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar platforms).
  • Export and deliver video content optimized for web, social, and digital platforms.
  • Stay current with video, social media, and content trends to continuously elevate creative output.
  • Develop compelling visual narratives that align with brand messaging and audience needs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or freelancers as needed for production support.
  • Some travel may be involved, both domestic and international. 

Requirements

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred; 
  • minimum 5 years experience in video production; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Must have proficient computer skills
  • Outstanding writing skills
