Job description

NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Director of MBA Admissions. As a member of the Admissions Committee, the Assistant Director will read applications, interview candidates, and vote on application decisions. The selected candidate will participate in discussions regarding enrollment management and serve as a liaison with various University offices as students are admitted to and onboarded into NYU Stern’s MBA and graduate programs. The Assistant Director will also contribute to admissions strategy by implementing and maintaining processes in our admissions platform and customer relationship management system.


The selected candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of admissions or related student services experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, are required. Experience in higher education student recruitment or admissions, and knowledge of Slate to optimize admissions processes, are preferred.


In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $83,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
