Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Surgical Services Business Director for our Perioperative Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Surgical Services Business Director you will:
• Oversee the daily operations across all Surgical Services areas, including operating rooms, procedural areas, and support services.
• Develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan for Surgical Services that aligns with our organizational priorities, including growth initiatives for surgical program expansion, new service development, and market growth strategies.
• Provide leadership and accountability for the operational, financial, and strategic performance for Surgical Services, with focused efforts on quality outcomes, patient safety & experience, regulatory requirements, and high-reliability practices.
• Standardize workflows and optimize throughput, block utilization, surgical minutes performance, patient access, and overall perioperative efficiency.
• Provide direct oversight over managers, supervisors, and team members, leading efforts in staffing, engagement, retention, and culture.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; (Business, healthcare administration, finance, strongly preferred) Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, with proven track record of leading complex service lines (surgical or procedural services preferred)
Work Schedule:
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
  • Typical Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday through Friday
  • Shift Type: Day
  • Weekend Requirements: Required to take calls as needed
  • Holiday Requirements: Required Follow company holiday calendar
  • On-Call: Available to take calls as needed
  • Shift Differential Eligible: No

Pay Range:
$116,227.90 - $174,341.85
If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
