Job description

The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy to drive growth, strengthen brand awareness, and generate qualified leads. This leader will oversee all aspects of marketing, including digital campaigns, content creation, brand management, social media, events, and partnership marketing.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on—comfortable leading a team, managing external vendors, and executing initiatives that directly support revenue goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company goals
  • Lead brand positioning, messaging, and market differentiation strategies across all divisions
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and sales teams to align marketing campaigns with business objectives
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities

Digital & Traditional Marketing

  • Oversee digital marketing efforts including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media
  • Manage the company’s website, ensuring content, design, and performance support brand objectives
  • Develop marketing collateral (brochures, presentations, case studies, etc.) to support business development
  • Coordinate media buying, sponsorships, community events, and PR opportunities

Agency & Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with paid media, SEO, creative, and door-knocking partners to ensure accountability and performance.
  • Set clear goals, review analytics, and hold agencies to lead generation and conversion benchmarks.
  • Coordinate cross-channel campaigns to maintain consistency in messaging and creative.

Brand & Content Management

  • Ensure consistent brand identity across all marketing channels and materials
  • Create and oversee the content calendar, including blog posts, newsletters, and videos
  • Lead storytelling efforts that highlight customer success, company culture, and community engagement

Demand Generation

  • Work with external partners to optimize paid media campaigns (Google, Meta, LSA, etc.) for lead quality and cost efficiency.
  • Support field marketing initiatives like door-knocking, events, and referral programs to strengthen local market presence.
  • Develop and oversee strategies to improve conversion at every stage of the funnel — from awareness to estimate to closed sale.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Build, mentor, and manage an internal marketing team (designers, content creators, coordinators)
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors, creative agencies, and media partners
  • Establish clear KPIs and report regularly on marketing performance and ROI
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills

  • Proven success developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, branding, and analytics
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

Education and/or experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of marketing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
