Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Managers across multiple experience levels, aligning resources and expertise to support client and business needs.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to manage account priorities, support strategic client relationships, and ensure exceptional service across key advertising partnerships.
  • Establish operational rigor and accountability across the Account Management team, ensuring success metrics, service standards, and organizational goals are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor the sales pipeline from pre-sale planning through campaign launch, delivery, and billing, proactively identifying risks and escalating issues to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategies that leverage Hearst's full portfolio of advertising products and capabilities to meet client objectives and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Research, Product, Yield, and Operations teams to improve processes, evolve products, and enhance client outcomes.
  • Oversee campaign execution and order management, ensuring alignment across media plans, insertion orders, billing requirements, contractual obligations, and campaign deliverables.
  • Analyze campaign performance, delivery metrics, and post-sale insights to identify optimization opportunities, support renewals, and uncover incremental revenue opportunities.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 5+ years of experience in media, sales planning, account management, advertising strategy, or related fields, with a track record of managing complex client programs and partnerships.
  • 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing teams while driving performance through measurable goals and feedback.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising products, media planning, campaign execution, and client service best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, present ideas clearly, and build trust with clients and internal partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across Sales, Marketing, Research, Product, Operations, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using advertising and business platforms such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, or similar systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Based in New York City with a hybrid work schedule.

The base salary range for this role is $118,000-$123,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
