Position: Retail Operations Manager
Department: Retail Banking

Responsibilities and Expectations
Key Responsibilities
Provide Operational Support to Retail Bank Employees & Management
  • Deliver support of operational, product, compliance, system and any other issues daily via telephone or in-person contact
  • Develop and update retail operating procedures and intranet resources
  • Partner with support departments and frontline retail associates to determine issues and needs
  • Assist retail employees and management in researching/resolving operational issues
  • Seek out ways to streamline processes and remove obstacles or barriers to success for frontline teams

Operational Compliance
  • Responsible for the oversight of all audits to include bank retail operation audits to include the following:
    • Retail Support Audits: work with retail staff on the completion of onsite branch audits
    • Complete documentation of audit results
    • Complete Monetary Instrument Audits of the Onsite Branch Audit
  • Responsible for all Safe Deposit Box audits for all bank locations as follows:
    • Past Due Boxes
    • Drill & Escheatment
    • Right of Offset Entries
    • Waives & Discounts

Project Management
  • Assist with the operational support and procedure development for the roll-out of new bank products and services
  • Lead and complete operational projects as assigned
  • Serve on team(s) relating to retail aspects of M & A activities. This will include evaluation and reporting on target's retail operations, sales and systems
  • Working with training will provide guidance and direction on the onboarding and training of newly acquired employees relating to acquisitions
  • Will serve on the conversion teams, directing retail functions relating to the conversion processes for newly acquired bank(s)

Retail Bank Performance
  • Track retail location and individual performance metrics
  • Work with accounting to provide the regional leadership teams, including RRMs, with reports to track retail incentives
  • Verify retail incentive payouts with RRMs and submit final reports for all required executive approval

Required Skills & Education
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; however, equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
  • 5 years of bank retail operations experience in a multi-branch setting
  • Experience developing retail processes and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Computer skills, especially the ability to work in Windows based systems
