Job description

Glaukos - Market Access Marketing Director (Remote)

Drive the strategy, messaging, and field enablement initiatives that expand patient access and support commercial growth across global markets. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of Marketing, Market Access, Reimbursement, and Commercial Operations - translating clinical and economic value into actionable campaigns, tools, and education that help customers navigate access pathways and site-of-care considerations.

How Will You Make an Impact?

You will lead execution of market access-focused marketing initiatives that support product adoption, deepen account penetration, and improve patient access across evolving care settings. Partnering cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, Finance, and Operations teams, you will shape scalable programs, educational resources, and field enablement strategies that align with broader brand and business objectives.

What Will You Do?

Market Access Marketing & Commercial Execution

  • Lead execution of in-market promotional strategies across digital, print, advertising, and sales enablement channels with consistent, access-focused messaging
  • Translate commercial and brand strategies into operational market access marketing plans across customer segments and regions
  • Develop and deploy compliant access-focused marketing materials and educational resources that communicate clinical, economic, and site-of-care value
  • Support field teams with tools, messaging, and enablement programs that improve customer engagement and adoption

Cross-Functional Partnership & Strategic Influence

  • Partner closely with Sales, Market Access, and Reimbursement teams to identify access barriers and deploy education strategies that support account penetration
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, Finance, and Operations teams to align access messaging with evidence generation, publications, podium strategy, and peer-to-peer education
  • Influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization to drive alignment, execution excellence, and commercial effectiveness

Insights, Analytics & Operational Excellence

  • Monitor program performance, field insights, and key metrics to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations that strengthen marketing execution and access strategy
  • Manage assigned budgets, agency/vendor relationships, and project timelines to ensure efficient and compliant execution
  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards while identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, and scalability

How Will You Get Here?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizations; 15+ years of relevant industry experience preferred
  • 3+ years of people leadership and/or functional leadership experience within a matrixed environment
  • Ophthalmology or eyecare industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success executing market access, reimbursement, or payer-focused marketing strategies that support commercial growth and product adoption
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement dynamics, site-of-care economics (ASC/HOPD), practice development, and patient education strategies
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, Finance, and Operations
  • Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex clinical and economic information into actionable insights

Why Join Us?

Join a collaborative, mission-driven organization focused on advancing innovative therapies and expanding patient access through strategic commercial execution, education, and partnership. This role offers high visibility, cross-functional influence, and the opportunity to shape scalable market access strategies in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
