REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of OSP construction experience
  • Experience managing OSP fiber relocation projects
  • Strong understanding of aerial and underground fiber infrastructure
  • Experience coordinating with municipalities, DOTs, or utility companies
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and willingness to travel locally
  • Hands-on experience building networks end-to-end (not just fiber pulling)
  • Experience placing conduit in the ground and/or supporting relocation projects (preferably both)


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global is seeking a qualified OSP Project Manager with a thorough knowledge of OSP construction and fiber optics, experience bidding jobs, and strong skills in communicating with customers and collaborating with team members. A minimum of five years of experience in OSP construction is preferred. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, extensive industry knowledge, and the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

-Manage fiber relocation projects tied to roadway, utility, and municipal initiatives

-Coordinate relocation efforts from planning through construction and closeout

-Conduct field walks to review existing aerial and underground fiber infrastructure

-Work with engineering teams to validate routes, placements, and constructability

-Serve as the main point of contact between design, construction, utilities, and municipalities

-Track schedules, scope, and deliverables to ensure relocation milestones are met

-Identify field conflicts and drive resolution with contractors and stakeholders

-Ensure work aligns with permits, safety requirements, and approved plans

-Maintain redlines, as builts, and relocation documentation

-Report progress, risks, and updates to internal leadership and clients

-70% in the office : 30% site travel (locally)
