Summary

The Director, Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) is responsible for leading Moffitt's dedicated team of Enterprise Portfolio Management Professionals (Managers, Program Managers, and Project Managers) whose primary purpose is to drive the implementation of Moffitt's portfolios of strategic efforts and department maturity. The Director, EPM builds close partnerships with various levels of Leadership, Shared Services and Operational Leaders in the scoping, translation, definition, prioritization, selection, funding, implementation, and realization of portfolio priorities spanning all Moffitt areas and divisions, as directed by the Sr. Director, PPMO. This role serves in a key facilitative and subject matter expert role for organization-wide project and portfolio governance, contributing significantly to the intake, governance, analysis, prioritization, and other key inputs driving decisions regarding work plans, program and project execution, and strategy. This role collaborates with the Director, Process Excellence and the Sr. Director, PPMO on strategy and long-range planning in support of the organization's maturation with regard to the delivery of sustainable change in support of the organization's strategic plan. The Director, EPM provides insights, summaries, facilitation, and updates and is an active participant in Moffit's Strategy Governance. The Director, EPM also serves as a key mentor to the EPM Managers and other EPM roles, leading the EPM Team in its ability to serve as a consultative and advisory resource to the organization for its growth and cultural maturation in its independent application of portfolio and project management best practices.The Director, Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) is responsible for leading Moffitt's dedicated team of Enterprise Portfolio Management Professionals (Managers, Program Managers, and Project Managers) whose primary purpose is to drive the implementation of Moffitt's portfolios of strategic efforts and department maturity. Minimum Experience RequiredMinimum of ten (10) years of progressively increasing responsibilities and demonstrated success/resultsin managing multifunctional projects, program, and portfolio management (overseeing multiple projects,programs, portfolios, long term roadmaps, etc.), project management office functions, and support ofstrategic planning, inclusive of five (5) years management experience, two (2) years of which formalizedProject Management Office (PMO).Experience must include the following:โ€ข Cross-functional teams and processes within a formalized Project Management Office (PMO),โ€ข Using an industry-standard Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool and Earned Valuetechniques and reporting.โ€ข Managing and leading resources in a complex, matrixed environment.โ€ข Working in a client or patient focused environment,โ€ข Information analysis, resource and capacity planning, problem solving, budgeting, teamcoordination, strategic planning, and quality management.Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Requiredโ€ข Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.โ€ข Significant and successful experience with project management standardization, governance, andportfolio management leveraging multiple methodologies.โ€ข Possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of portfolio, program, project and changemanagement methodologies, techniques, and tools, including resource capacity planning andmanagement.โ€ข Proven ability to build synergistic relationships and interact with senior level executives toinfluence strategy, priorities, and the use of resources to optimize our return on investments.โ€ข Experience managing and leading resources in a complex, matrixed environment.โ€ข Passion, positivity, energy, personal accountability and a desire to lead others to excellence withlimited guidance.โ€ข Display a positive, dependable and strong work ethic.โ€ข Ability to coach, mentor and lead team members at various levels, including ability to lead crossfunctionalโ€ข discussions and project reviews.โ€ข A high level of confidence, integrity, and critical thinking skills, establishing credibility anddecisiveness while balancing varying business considerations/priorities.โ€ข Proven conflict management skills and professionalism.โ€ข Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and facilitation skills including presentations to senior leadership, clinicians, peer groups, and team members.
