The Program Director, EW, Avionics and Space is responsible for the Program Management of all EW, Avionics and Space programs within our Value Add Assembly (VAA) product line of business and an integral part of our Integrated Electronics Business Unit.

Responsibilities include partnership with manufacturing, engineering, quality, facilities, purchasing, customer service, and production control as it relates to the execution of contract requirements and program performance.

The role is also responsible for strategy and growth of the EW, Avionics and Space business including business development and proposal strategy.

Direct reports include a growing team of program management professionals. The role has matrixed support from business development/sales, engineering, manufacturing, human resources, finance, and IT.

Performing a variety of tasks, this role will lead and directs the work of others while also being outward facing to TTM customers and internal to TTM leadership. The position may be remote based with travel up to 50%, onsite in Denver, CO, Stafford Springs, CT or Salem, NH is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide the overall vision, strategy, and leadership for the business group and effectively communicates to the organization, as appropriate.
  • Sets the goals and objectives for the group, including orders, sales, growth, operating performance, budget, and others in support of the strategy.
  • Develop and communicate effective business plans and ROI analysis to support strategy and growth objectives.
  • Lead the development of market, product, and technology strategy which are consistent with the corporate strategic plan.
  • Work closely with the customer base, sales, marketing, and internal engineering resources, as appropriate, to ensure the strategy is sound and to develop the plans to implement them.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the customer's new product and program development needs and ensure clear dissemination of that information to appropriate personnel.
  • Lead a team of Program Managers to Develop and implement business plans, schedules, and budgets to meet the site goals and objectives.
  • Participate in required company planning sessions to develop the group’s short and long-term strategies, including technology and product road-maps.
  • Monitor and provide direction and leadership for assigned staff, to ensure the progress of such plans, recommend and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Define program tasking/milestones and monitor adherence to program budgets, plans, and schedules.
  • Plan and allocate human and equipment resources to complete assigned objectives within schedule and budget commitments.
  • Be responsive to customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction and product quality are of the highest priority.
  • Ensure all direct reports and functions managed actively support quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Institute an atmosphere of continuous product improvement for all company personnel.
  • Maintain the necessary communications and cooperation with other company functions and business groups to support overall company goals and objectives.

  • Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all levels of the organization, including customers
  • Work collaboratively within a matrixed organization to ensure the program is properly resourced at all phases of the program with personnel that have the right skill sets and company values
  • Ability to implement own recommendations and see projects through to completion
  • Make recommendations and implement improvements to processes, increasing efficiency
  • Strong leadership characteristics, and demonstrated talent development skills
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the manufacturing processes & systems in order to communicate effectively with their external and internal customers
  • Strong working knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and requirements
  • Strong business acumen and comfort in enabling, participating in, and influencing business decisions
Required Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or related field.

Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience in an Aerospace & Defense; manufacturing experience preferred; Experience with successful implementation of organizational change. Experience within the A&D electronics industry preferred.

Benefits are available 1st of the month following date of hire.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.

As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado.

For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
