About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Design to lead and grow our Product Design team. In this key leadership role, you will define and drive the creative vision for our digital products, ensuring an exceptional and intuitive user experience across web and mobile platforms.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing, and play a central role in ensuring our product design aligns with customer needs, brand values, and evolving AI capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a collaborative, high-performing team of product designers.

  • Define and implement design strategy aligned with customer insights and product vision.

  • Translate complex AI functionality into elegant, human-centered design.

  • Promote accessible, responsive, and mobile-first design practices.

  • Oversee user research, testing, and validation to iterate on design solutions.

  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems using tools like Figma.

  • Own the visual identity of our product portfolio and customer-facing design assets.

  • Support the buildout of our content libraries and third-party integrations.

  • Liaise with marketing to ensure alignment between brand and product design.

  • Coordinate with engineering to ensure timely and quality delivery of designs.

  • Lead design efforts for internal tools such as Pendo and the MB Insider Product Portal.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in product or UX design, including 3+ years in a design leadership role.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing for web, mobile, and AI-driven platforms.

  • Experience leading product design teams in SaaS or technology companies.

  • Strong working knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.

  • A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and how they integrate into design workflows.

  • Experience in the SaaS, payments, or non-profit tech sector is a plus.

  • Passion for mentoring and enabling the growth of junior-to-senior design professionals.
