Job description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Fabrication, The Director of Fabrication leads all fabrication operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees production, fabrication, print, and sign shop operations while driving process improvements, managing resources, developing employees, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support successful project execution. This company specializes in design, technical production, and immersive brand environments for live events and marketing activations located in Anaheim, CA.


Director of Fabrication

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all fabrication, print, and sign shop operations.
  • Plan production schedules and allocate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, budget, and delivery requirements.
  • Develop and improve fabrication processes, workflows, and production methods.
  • Monitor production performance, labor utilization, and operational metrics.
  • Manage project budgets, estimating, inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Oversee maintenance of fabrication equipment and shop facilities.
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate fabrication personnel.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Project Management, Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support clients through project planning, technical guidance, and issue resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and operational efficiency.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of fabrication or manufacturing experience.
  • 10+ years of leadership or production management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, production planning, QA/QC, budgeting, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google Workspace, and project management software.


Preferred Equipment Experience

Experience working with CNC routers, laser cutters, welding equipment (MIG/TIG), metal fabrication equipment, large-format printers, vinyl cutters, forklifts, and other industrial fabrication tools.


Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000/k.
