The Country Club at Castle Pines is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Tennis Professional to help deliver an outstanding racquets experience for members and guests. This role involves organizing and leading lessons, leagues, and events while creating a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for players of all ages and skill levels. The Tennis Professional will play a key role in promoting participation, building relationships with members, and supporting the overall success of the racquets program. Additionally, this position requires strong communication, professionalism, and a passion for growing the game of tennis within the club community.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver high-quality private and group tennis instruction for both adults and juniors, creating an engaging and positive learning environment.
- Assist in promoting, organizing, and executing adult in-house leagues, social events, and special programming to drive member participation.
- Oversee mixers, match play, and other on-court activities to ensure a fun, well-run experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for court reservations, lesson schedules, and program participation.
- Support the overall appearance and organization of the tennis facility by helping keep courts and surrounding areas clean and presentable.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and contribute to department goals and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Racquets and provide support with additional responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of the racquets program.
Licenses & Special Requirements:
Candidates must hold a current certification from either the Racquet Sports Professional Association (RSPA) or the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), with an RSPA P1 rating required. A minimum NTRP rating of 4.0 or higher is also required, demonstrating a strong level of playing ability and on-court competency.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity. The role involves continuous physical activity such as standing, walking, running, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the day. Tennis Professionals will frequently use light equipment, including ball machines and hand-held teaching aids, during instruction. Candidates must also be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving equipment as needed to support daily operations and programming.
