Head Racquets Professional - Marin Country Club Novato, CA


About the Club Marin Country Club is a premier, member-owned private country club located in Novato, California. With a strong tradition of excellence, we pride ourselves on providing outstanding racquets, golf, fitness, dining, and social experiences to our membership. The club has four outdoor tennis courts, and four hybrid pickleball courts. Marin Country Club is managed by Troon.


We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dynamic full-time Head Racquets Professional to join and grow our racquets program. Reporting to the Director of Racquets, this individual will play a key leadership role in instruction, programming, member engagement, and staff development. The ideal candidate is personable, energetic, highly skilled in both tennis and pickleball, and passionate about building community through racquet sports.


Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level private and group instruction for players of all ages and abilities in tennis and pickleball
Organize and lead clinics, socials, mixers, ladders, and competitive play opportunities
Assist in scheduling, staffing, and mentoring seasonal staff
Support the development of innovative programming that encourages participation and membership engagement
Serve as an ambassador for the club, fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment
Work collaboratively with the Director of Racquets and other departments to deliver seamless member experiences
Help oversee racquets facilities, equipment, and racquet stringing operations


Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a private club, resort, or high-performance environment
RSPA or PTR certification required; PPR (or equivalent) pickleball certification required
High-level playing ability in tennis and pickleball
Proven success in instruction, programming, and member engagement
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to professionalism, service excellence, and continuous improvement


Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base pay, plus commission on lessons and clinics
Base Pay: $25.00/hr
Commission on lessons, clinics and programs

Estimated Total Compensation: $105,000 - $125,000+ (based on performance a program participation)
