Monday-Thursday: 4:30 pm - 6:45 pm

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Premier Aquatics is currently hiring a year-round Head Coach for our Aliso Viejo Flying Fish swim team in Orange County! We are looking for a leader who is outgoing, responsible, self-driven, collaborative, and passionate about swimming. Our pre-competitive team ranges from swimmers ages 5 years old to 14 years old with varying levels of desire for competition, but all eager to improve their technical swimming on a fun team. We are looking for a Head Coach ready to tackle training  AVFF for years to come! 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  • Create a fun and inviting environment for students to learn in 
  • Develop monthly training plans and daily swim sets 
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with all Swim Team families via email and in-person 
  • Train and mentor Assistant Swim Team Coaches 
  • Document mentoring for Assistant Swim Team Coaches in OneTeam360 
  • Drive year-round swim team growth and swimmer retention 
  • Schedule and run team tryouts 
  • Coordinate time trials every three weeks and communicate results accordingly 
  • Coordinate monthly meets with local swim teams 
  • Communicate techniques to students clearly and concisely from the deck during all practices 
  • Assist students in the water with proper stroke techniques as needed 
  • Set up and tear down swim meets and practices 
  • Lead the team within its sustainable budget 
  • Publish the Assistant Swim Team Coaches' schedules biweekly 
  • Review payroll for Assistant Swim Team Coaches biweekly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum 

  • Must be at least 15 years of age. 
  • Be able to work Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm-6:45 pm year-round, with variation coming in July and August during the summer season 
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a willingness to learn. 
  • Reliable transportation. 
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours. 
  • Be able to obtain a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification
  • Previous swim team experience 
  • Previous coaching experience 

Preferred 

  • Existing StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification
