JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Accounting is responsible for leading the company’s accounting function, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial information. This role oversees accounting operations, establishes processes and controls, and serves as the primary decision-maker for accounting matters, including complex or non-standard situations.
The Director of Accounting ensures alignment between accounting operations and business activities, supports working capital performance, and develops a high-performing accounting team to support company growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Finance
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes (through Controller and team)
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial reporting and underlying data across the organization
- Review key accounting estimates, including revenue recognition, reserves, and accruals
- Establish andmaintaininternal controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with the CFO on banking and financing relationships, including coordination with lenders and financial partners
- Support and coordinate execution of equity transactions, including preparation, analysis, and coordination of related activities
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA preferred)
Experience: 8-12+ years of accounting experience, including leadership roles
Skills: Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word); competent working with spreadsheets, formulas, and templates
