A day in the life:

The primary focus of an Area Manager will be to service the existing business, both operationally and financially, while maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new business where possible. This person will oversee janitorial operations across multiple buildings, ensuring exceptional service quality and client satisfaction. This leadership role involves managing site supervisors, coordinating staffing and training, conducting inspections, and implementing operational improvements.

What you'll do as an Exceptional Team Member
  • Supervise and direct staff activities
  • Responsible for P&L activities
  • Manage operational policies, objectives and initiatives to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Establishes operating policies to mitigate risk
  • Provide leadership to develop new customers and maintain existing customer base
  • Manage emergency response for all problems
  • Create estimates and workload for bids and new job sites
  • Travel and manage all aspects in the assigned area/territory
  • Monitor and ensure quality control expectations are met
  • Supervise cleaners & floor techs
  • Maintain payroll records
  • Maintain performance documents & disciplinary actions
  • Perform quality control to conform to Harvard & customer standards
  • Inventory & supply control
  • Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning technique
What you'll need to be an Extraordinary Team Member
  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable management experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years industry experience
  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in the field's concepts, practices and procedures
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Planning: Ability to perform short- and long-range planning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent project and program management skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing building services(janitorial)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be flexible with hours and schedules
  • Technical knowledge of all aspects of janitorial service delivery
  • Ability to multi-task
