Job description

The preferred location for this job is in the San Francisco Bay Area or West Coast.
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
The Director of Business Development - OEM identifies, evaluates and manages existing and new business opportunities and market / technology initiatives. This position establishes strong relationships with end users (OEMs, OSATS, IDMs), supply chain partners and direct customers. Connects the end user / supply chain partner with the appropriate BU / sales personnel. The incumbent will work closely with the various BUs, regional sales teams and upper management to identify and evaluate opportunities and convert technology leads into sales by driving POR specifications at OEMs. This is normally an Individual contributor role, though this position may manage a small staff in support of an assigned area.
Your Key Responsibilities include:
  • Establishment and maintenance of networks with key personnel involved in pathfinding and new product introduction (NPI) within the scope of the end user, supply chain partners focused on Semiconductor, Package Substrates and PCB's
  • Building team synergy and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of technical and business information and strategies through the sharing of information, data, and opinions between in-house OEM/BD teams
  • Drive technology analysis and preparation of strategic analysis reports based on investigation and analysis results and identifying potential technology gaps and business prospects for consideration that fit within the vision and capabilities of the business.
  • Identify, assess, develop and manage new programs and new business opportunities for assigned area, leading to successful commercialization efforts. Work with prospective end users / customers and internal organization.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current and future OEM & TIER-1supplier requirements and standards in SC, advanced Packaging & PCB industry.
  • Lead and manage priority growth projects at End User. Lead team efforts (and project manage activities) that include support from BU Applications / R&D, manufacturing, quality resources.
  • Partner with BU product marketing & regional sales to provide technical documentation/ product compliance necessary for Specification and work with OEMs and TIER-1 suppliers to coordinate POR approvals.
  • Participate in major electronics conferences globally and create new Webinars increase the MKS visibility as leading technology provider.

Skills You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales or a similar role in the Semiconductor, advanced packaging & Printed Circuit Board (PCB) industry.
  • Strong knowledge and contact base of regional and international end user and supply chain and direct customers
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, effective in cross-functional teams, with proficiency in technical documentation and submission processes. Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $ 200,00.00 - 300,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
