Job description

Position Summary...The Director of Market Intelligence Insights Consulting is a strategic leadership role that helps drive reliable, consistent, and actionable market and wallet share intelligence, ensuring insights are trusted, decision-ready, and strategically influential. This role partners closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape business strategies and strengthen Walmart’s customer-centric competitive advantage.What you'll do...You will make an impact by:
  • Deliver high quality and timely recurring reports and insights that drive the organization’s understanding of competitive landscape and inform enterprise growth strategies
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, translating complex competitive and customer dynamics into clear implications and recommendations
  • Proactively identify emerging competitive risks, white‑space opportunities, and structural shifts in the market landscape
  • Champion enterprise‑wide education, training, and consultation to improve data literacy and the effective use of market share and customer insights in decision‑making
You will sweep us off your feet if you have: 
  • Consultative experience and thought leadership skills to see the big picture without sacrificing attention to details
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and story-telling skills, with experiences to distill complexity into concise, decision‑ready narratives
  • Deep knowledge in syndicated and market data (e.g., POS, Consumer Panel data)
  • Historical success in partnering with key stakeholders to paint a customer-centric vision and drive cross-functional initiative
  • Strong analytic skills, including a passion for innovative techniques and methods
  • An agile, curious, and self- motivated mindset which translates into a desire for continuous improvement
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with others and scale the impact
  • A solid understanding of macro-economics, customer research, relational databases, and visualization tools 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Market Research, or related field and 7 + years’ experience in data analytics, customer insights, product management, management consulting, retail domain experience. MBA preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
