This leader will oversee the assembly of everything from standardized automation components to complex automation applications combining mechanical, electrical, and software components. The role will also own the assembly of complete customer orders for customers who choose Vention’s fully-assembled offering. The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who can operate effectively in a fast-growing, high-mix environment. They will build a highly capable assembly organization, establish rigorous operating processes and performance management, and continuously improve how Vention manufactures and delivers its products.What You’ll Do 1. Own Manufacturing Performance & Delivery Own the overall performance of Vention’s manufacturing and assembly operations, including schedule attainment, throughput, quality, capacity, productivity, and backlog. Adhere to the master production schedules provided by the planning team, optimizing floor operations to meet demand, material availability, and customer commitments. Maximize manufacturing throughput to minimize manufacturing backlog, and continuously improve production lead times to support organizational delivery goals . Operationalize the production priorities established by the planning team, ensuring shop floor teams are fully aligned on daily and weekly execution. Develop and manage capacity plans to anticipate demand growth, bottlenecks, and resource requirements. Establish operational dashboards and KPIs to create visibility and accountability across all assembly teams. Partner closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Product, Quality, and Sales to resolve constraints and ensure customer commitments are met. 2. Lead and Scale Four Assembly Organizations Lead four distinct manufacturing and assembly teams: Automation Component Assembly - Assembly and testing of products such as MachineMotion AI, pendant, safety modules, and other automation electronics. Mechanical Component Assembly - Assembly of actuators, telescopic columns, and other mechanical products and subassemblies. Application Assembly - Assembly and validation of complex automation applications such as Rapid Series Palletizer, Rapid Operator AI, Click & Customize Tending, and other solutions combining mechanical, electrical, controls, and software components. Client Order Assembly - Final assembly, integration, testing, and preparation of complete customer orders for customers purchasing fully assembled systems. Define the appropriate operating model, processes, staffing, and performance expectations for each assembly organization. Ensure manufacturing practices are standardized while preserving the flexibility required for high-mix and configurable products. Build organizational capability and develop strong frontline manufacturing leadership. Ensure manufacturing processes and assembly operations are aligned across all manufacturing sites. 3. Industrialize New Products Partner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure new products are designed for efficient, repeatable assembly. Own the manufacturing ramp-up of new products from prototype through pilot production and scaled production. Implement and execute standardized assembly processes, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, test procedures, and production documentation on the floor ahead of product launch. Define production capacity and staffing requirements for new product introductions. Identify manufacturing risks early and drive cross-functional resolution before they impact production. Ensure new products transition from engineering builds to stable, scalable manufacturing operations. 4. Drive Continuous Improvement Establish a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and problem solving across all assembly teams. Improve assembly cycle time, labor productivity, first-pass yield, quality, and overall equipment and labor utilization. Identify and eliminate recurring production constraints, rework, defects, and sources of variability. Develop standardized work, visual management, 5S, line balancing, takt-time management, and other appropriate lean manufacturing practices. Continuously improve workstation design, tooling, fixtures, material flow, and assembly layouts. Use data to identify the highest-impact opportunities for productivity and quality improvement. Lead structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues. 5. Build a High-Performance Assembly Organization Ensure assemblers are properly trained, certified, and equipped to perform their work safely and effectively. Establish structured onboarding and training programs for new assemblers and team leads. Develop skills matrices and cross-training programs to increase workforce flexibility and resilience. Establish clear performance expectations for frontline teams and managers. Develop future leaders within the manufacturing organization. Create a culture where teams take ownership of quality, productivity, safety, and delivery. 6. Ensure Manufacturing Quality Own manufacturing quality and ensure products consistently meet Vention’s quality standards before shipment. Establish robust inspection, testing, and validation processes appropriate to each product category. Partner with Quality and Engineering to identify root causes of defects and implement permanent corrective actions. Reduce rework, scrap, field failures, and customer-reported assembly issues. Ensure manufacturing processes and documentation remain controlled as products evolve. Establish, audit, and maintain rigorous Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection protocols across all assembly cells to prevent damage to sensitive electronics and automation components. 7. Champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Establish a proactive safety culture across all four assembly organizations, ensuring that safety is the top priority on the shop floor. Ensure full compliance with all local and international occupational health and safety regulations, as well as environmental standards. Oversee regular safety audits, risk assessments, and 5S practices to identify and eliminate workplace hazards before incidents occur. Lead structured root-cause investigations for any safety near-misses or incidents, implementing permanent corrective actions immediately. Optimize workstation ergonomics and floor layouts to protect the physical well-being of all assembly team members. What You Bring to the Table 8–12+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, operations, or industrial engineering, with increasing leadership responsibility. Proven experience leading high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing or assembly operations. Experience managing multiple manufacturing teams and frontline leaders. Strong understanding of mechanical and electromechanical assembly processes. Experience industrializing and ramping new products from prototype to production. Demonstrated ability to improve manufacturing throughput, quality, productivity, and lead times. Proven track record of managing electronics handling protocols and implementing rigid Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control standards (such as ANSI/ESD S20.20) in a production environment. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Highly data-driven, with strong operational rigor and an ability to manage through KPIs. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales Excellent people leadership skills, with a track record of developing frontline managers and high-performing teams. Comfortable operating hands-on in a rapidly changing environment where processes are still being built and improved. Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action. Prendre en charge la performance et la livraison manufacturière Assumer la responsabilité de la performance globale des opérations de fabrication et d'assemblage de Vention, y compris le respect des échéanciers, le débit de production, la qualité, la capacité, la productivité et la gestion de l'arriéré (backlog).
