Overview
Plant Director – Montreal

The Plant Director contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by leading plant operations to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to cost, production line efficiency, waste reduction, health and safety, and productivity.

This person must translate the plant’s overall objectives into actionable execution plans and establish production performance standards while mobilizing the organization to achieve them.

This role is responsible for managing three shifts in a unionized facility, supervising a team of approximately 5 managers, 15 supervisors, and more than 150 unionized hourly employees. In addition, this person must develop, implement, and execute world-class service standards to support sales.


Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach supervisors and managers to meet performance standards in health and safety, production line utilization, and quality

  • Manage direct and indirect controllable costs to achieve overall cost and performance objectives

  • Monitor key performance indicators and costs, anticipate trends, and correct those that could compromise financial goals

  • Provide overall supervision of planning processes related to raw material reception and finished product delivery within required timelines

  • Oversee inventory processes to maintain optimal levels of finished products to meet daily sales needs

  • Supervise and ensure reliability of plant equipment to minimize downtime

  • Build organizational capabilities through effective working relationships, hiring, training, and communication with management and frontline hourly staff

  • Assume overall responsibility for the plant’s profit and loss (P&L) across production, maintenance, quality control, and warehousing

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

  • Manage organizational change and transformation

Ce poste est responsable de la gestion de trois quarts de travail dans une installation syndiquée, de la supervision d’une équipe composée d’environ 5 gestionnaires, 15 superviseur(e)s et de plus de 150 employé(e)s horaires syndiqué(e)s. De plus, cette personne doit développer, mettre en œuvre et exécuter des standards de service de premier ordre pour soutenir les ventes.

  • Assurer une supervision globale duprocessus d’inventaire afin de maintenir des niveaux optimaux de produits finis pour répondre aux besoins quotidiens des ventes. 
  • Superviser et assurer la fiabilité des équipements de l’usine afin de minimiser les temps d’arrêt. 
  • Développer les capacités organisationnelles grâce à des relations de travail efficaces, à l’embauche, à la formation et à la communication auprès du personnel de gestion et du personnel de première ligne rémunéré à l’heure. 
  • Assumer la responsabilité globale du compte de résultats (P&L) de l’usine pour la production, la maintenance, le contrôle de la qualité et l’entrepôt. 
  • Assurer la conformité à toutes les réglementations en matière de santé et sécurité. 
  • Gérer des changements et transformation organisationnelle.
  • Baccalauréat en génie ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Plus de 10 ans d’expérience dans un environnement manufacturier à haut volume, idéalement dans l’industrie des boissons ou des produits de consommation emballés (CPG).
  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience dans un rôle de gestion ou de direction d’équipes opérationnelles.
  • Expérience démontrée en gestion des opérations, de la performance financière et du développement des talents.
  • Solides compétences en leadership, en amélioration continue et en mobilisation d’équipes syndiquées et non syndiquées.
  • Engagement envers la santé, la sécurité, la qualité et l’excellence opérationnelle.
  • Maîtrise avancée du français et de l’anglais, avec une capacité éprouvée à communiquer efficacement auprès d’équipes diversifiées et de parties prenantes variées.
