own and operate manufacturing facilities in Canada (British Columbia, Ontario, & Quebec), inthe USA (Texas), and in China.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on Director of Operations to lead and optimize operations across our recycling facilities in Sherbrooke, Beauceville, and Brantford. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations while driving continuous improvement, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all sites.

This position can be located in Sherbrooke or Beauceville, Quebec but will require regular travel between both locations. Travel to Ontario will be required on a quarterly basis.

Key Responsibilities:Operations leadership:
  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team of operations and production leaders to deliver on key metrics for safety, quality, delivery and costs
  • Develop KPI’s with the teams for daily management of the operation
  • Champion health, safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence
  • Support identification and development of major capital expenditures, process improvements as necessary
  • Develop and manage operational budgets and capital expenditure plans with a focus on managing cost control and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
  • Track, monitor and report on capital projects to ensure successful execution
Inventory Management:
  • Maintain oversight of inventory levels across all three locations
  • Proactively identify capacity or equipment constraints and develop action plans to ensure customer demands are met
  • Champion cycle counts for accurate and timely reporting; implement structured inventory controls to achieve rotation of inventory onsite
  • Active manage spare parts inventory to reduce production downtime.
Cross functional collaboration:
  • Partner closely with finance, customer experience and to ensure accurate forecasting customer demand
  • Maintain strong relationships with industry vendors, suppliers and partners (Recyc Quebec)
  • Provide leadership to engineering, R&D and Maintenance teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost and performance
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field combined with 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience
  • Proven experience overseeing multiple plants concurrently
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and solve complex problems, gain alignment and execute with speed to deliver on objectives
  • Hands on plant focused leader with strong technical and troubleshooting instincts
  • Demonstrated experience leading through others combined with exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations, making calm decisions
  • Previous experience with union negotiations is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations across both Ontario and Quebec jurisdictions.
  • Ability to travel frequently between Ontario and Quebec facilities.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is a must.

Nous recherchons un directeur des opérations stratégique et opérationnel pour diriger et optimiser les opérations dans nos installations de recyclage à Sherbrooke, Beauceville et Brantford. Relevant du directeur des opérations, ce poste est responsable de garantir des opérations sûres, efficaces et rentables tout en favorisant l'amélioration continue, l'engagement des employés, la conformité réglementaire et l'excellence opérationnelle sur tous les sites.

Ce poste peut être basé à Sherbrooke ou à Beauceville, au Québec, mais nécessitera des déplacements réguliers entre les deux sites. Des déplacements en Ontario seront nécessaires sur une base trimestrielle.

Principales responsabilités :Leadership opérationnel :
  • Diriger, encadrer et inspirer une équipe de responsables des opérations et de la production pour atteindre les principaux indicateurs en matière de sécurité, qualité, livraison et coûts.
  • Développer des KPI avec les équipes pour la gestion quotidienne de l'opération.
  • Promouvoir la santé, la sécurité, le respect de l'environnement et l'excellence opérationnelle.
  • Soutenir l'identification et le développement des investissements majeurs, ainsi que des améliorations de processus si nécessaire.
  • Développer et gérer les budgets opérationnels et les plans d'investissement en se concentrant sur le contrôle des coûts et l'identification d'opportunités d'amélioration.
  • Déployer des initiatives d'amélioration continue et Lean.
  • Suivre, contrôler et rendre compte des projets d'investissement pour assurer leur succès.
Gestion des stocks :
  • Garder un œil sur les niveaux de stocks dans les trois sites
  • Identifier de manière proactive les contraintes de capacité ou d'équipement et élaborer des plans d'action pour répondre aux demandes des clients
  • Promouvoir les inventaires cycliques pour des rapports précis et rapides ; mettre en place des contrôles structurés des stocks pour assurer la rotation des produits sur site
  • Gérer activement l'inventaire des pièces de rechange pour réduire les temps d'arrêt de production.
Collaboration interfonctionnelle :
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes finance et expérience client pour assurer une prévision précise de la demande clients
  • Maintenir de bonnes relations avec les fournisseurs, partenaires et acteurs du secteur (Recyc Québec)
  • Fournir un leadership aux équipes d'ingénierie, R&D et maintenance pour identifier des opportunités d'amélioration de l'efficacité, des coûts et des performances
Qualifications et expérience requises :
  • Diplôme universitaire en ingénierie, gestion des opérations, commerce ou dans un domaine connexe, combiné à plus de 10 ans d'expérience progressive en leadership des opérations
  • Expérience avérée dans la supervision de plusieurs usines simultanément
  • Capacité démontrée à collaborer entre les différentes fonctions, à résoudre des problèmes complexes, à obtenir l'adhésion et à exécuter rapidement pour atteindre les objectifs
  • Leader pratique et axé sur l'usine avec de solides compétences techniques et d'analyse des problèmes
  • Expérience démontrée à diriger via les autres, combinée à des compétences exceptionnelles en communication
  • Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et capacité à gérer des situations stressantes en prenant des décisions calmes
