Law Office HR Manager


Robert Half has partnered with a well-established, law firm with offices across Colorado, Washington, D.C., and North Dakota. The firm serves American Indian tribes, tribal entities, and individual tribal members nationwide. Its Colorado office is located in the greater Boulder/Denver area.

The firm is seeking an Assistant Firm Administrator to lead Human Resources functions while supporting the Firm Administrator with broader firm operations.

  • Lead day-to-day Human Resources administration for the firm
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Conduct and coordinate employee complaint investigations
  • Develop job descriptions, post positions, work with recruiters, and coordinate interviews
  • Conduct reference checks and support hiring activities
  • Update and maintain firm policies and the employee handbook
  • Prepare year-end performance reviews and compensation adjustment letters
  • Assist with employee benefits administration and annual open enrollment
  • Coordinate firm events, partner and employee training, professional development, and culture initiatives
  • Manage firm vendor accounts and resolve vendor questions or issues
  • Assist with management of office facilities, repairs, contracts, leases, and other operational matters
  • Attend Equity Partner meetings and provide administrative support as needed
  • Collaborate with the Firm Administrator and Legal Operations Manager on firm-wide initiatives
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong organizational, planning, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Experience with NetDocuments and/or Clio is a plus

• At least 3 years of human resources experience, ideally within a law firm or other services setting.
• Prior background in legal administration, law firm operations, or another senior-level office support role.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, HR compliance, and personnel administration best practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, staff, vendors, and leadership.
• Proven ability to stay organized, manage competing deadlines, and work independently with sound judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe; familiarity with NetDocuments or Clio is an advantage.
• High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail in handling sensitive information.
• Ability to remain active for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
