Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist at a Level II Trauma Center in Elgin, IL, with at least 1 year of experience and C-arm proficiency required.
Job Details
• Acute care hospital radiology department with 4 X-ray rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms, 3 portables, and 6 C-arms,
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics, including approximately 15% pediatric; setting includes inpatient, outpatient, ED, and OR,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Rotating shifts: 10:00 AM-8:30 PM with some 1:00 PM-11:30 PM shifts; schedule transitions to 1:00 PM-11:30 PM and/or 11:00 PM-9:30 AM after approximately three weeks into the assignment,
• 40 hours per week,
• Weekend rotation approximately twice per month,
• No on-call requirements,
• Holiday coverage may be required,
• Charting in Epic; equipment includes Shimadzu portables and Siemens and GE scanners and C-arms,
• Floating within the facility only,
Job Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of core radiology experience, with most recent experience within the last year,
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required,
• Active state license required if applicable,
• C-arm experience required,
• Trauma experience (any level) required,
• Pediatric experience preferred,
• O-arm experience preferred,
• Familiarity with Epic preferred,
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year required for consideration,
• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration,
• Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, Primary Stroke Center with 255 beds,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Orientation of up to 40 hours provided, based on comfort level,
• Facility-provided scrubs,
• Free parking on-site,
• Local candidates are accepted,
• Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for this travel assignment
