We are the leaders in the orthopedic community of East Central Florida, The Orthopedic Clinic has served our community since 1961. We get our patients back to the life they love with high quality, individualized orthopedic care. The Orthopedic Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic and driven candidate that has previous outpatient physical therapy experience to join our dynamic team as a Radiologic Technologist Supervisor.


The Radiologic Technologist Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and providing guidance and support to the team.


We believe every patient should receive the best possible care, our practice offers an array of services specializing in general orthopedics, spine care, sports reconstruction, adult reconstruction and non-surgical treatments. We currently have eleven Orthopedic Surgeons, one Interventional Pain Management Physician, Mid-Level Providers, and a Physical Therapy team who serve patients at four locations within Volusia and Flagler counties.


Scope of Position:

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, the Radiologic Technologist Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and leading activities of Radiology team members to ensure compassionate, effective and efficient delivery of high quality clinical care for patients.


POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

Follow departmental protocols relating to the acquisition of diagnostic radiologic imaging.

Manage department work-flow and assist in guiding staff towards the efficient completion of x-ray orders.

Creation of weekly department work schedule to ensure coverage at all offices during clinical operating hours.

Assist in management of cast-checks, regarding patient care, direction of staff and assisting staff appropriately.

Communicate with physicians and mid-level providers pertaining to accuracy of x-ray orders.

Assist Clinical Supervisor with management of W/C pharmacy regarding inventory, reporting, and compliance.

Assist Clinical Supervisor with management of clinical supplies, and communicating any changes in supply needs by the physicians.

Serve as point-of-contact regarding service calls and maintenance requirements of radiographic equipment at all locations.

Assist Clinical Lead with management of staff and clinical work-flow when the Clinical Supervisor is out of the office.

Lead by example with positivity and optimism

Develop a cohesive training plan for new x-ray staff.

Adhere to the expectations, qualifications, considerations, and KSAs as described in the Radiologic Technologist job description.

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong knowledge base of medical terminology, medical abbreviations, medical allergies, medications, medical diagnosis's, and surgical procedures.

Ability to work with the physician and/or physician assistant in handling and resolving complex patient matters.

Ability to work under the direction of a physician, on a team and independently.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities and work styles.

Ability to consistently complete work in a professional, timely and accurate manner.

Ability to prioritize, manage and complete simultaneous tasks with frequent interruptions while paying close attention to the details.

Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.

Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change.

Possess exceptional independent, critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions and solve problems in assigned work area.

Possess exceptional interpersonal skill with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively interact with staff at all levels both inside and outside the organization.

Possess exceptional communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.

Must possess a strong desire to serve the physicians and our patients.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of High School Diploma

Valid License in Florida as a Radiologic Technologist

Active ARRT certification

Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a medical/healthcare setting

Previous experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products, EHR software applications, preferably Athena

Must be able to proficiently speak, read and write in English

Valid State of Florida Driver's License

Clean Driving Record

Proof of valid auto insurance
