Job description

Fence Installer

High Pointe Companies – Fort Collins, CO

We’re Hiring — Build a Career, Not Just a Job

High Pointe Companies is actively hiring field crew members while also building a strong pipeline of talent for future growth.

If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in building quality projects, and want to develop real construction skills with clear advancement opportunities, we want to hear from you.

Our crews install fencing and complete a variety of construction and site improvement projects across Northern Colorado — and we promote from within.

Compensation

Pay is based on experience, skill level, and production:

  • Installer: $21–$26/hr with advancement to $31/hr

Most new hires start at the Installer level and advance quickly by demonstrating skill, leadership, and consistency.

Schedule
  • Monday – Friday
  • Typically 45–55 hours per week
  • Overtime after 40 hours
  • Occasional overnight travel depending on projects

Benefits
  • Weekly pay (direct deposit)
  • PTO after 60 days
  • Paid sick time
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Company uniforms
  • Workwear bonus every 6 months
  • Employee discounts (Boot Barn, NAPA, Lowe’s)
  • Snacks and drinks provided

Who This Job Is For

This role is ideal for individuals who:

  • Take pride in doing high-quality work
  • Enjoy hands-on, physical projects
  • Want to learn skilled trades and grow in construction
  • Are looking for long-term advancement opportunities

We value reliability, accountability, and problem-solvers. Team members who consistently perform and develop their skills can move into Lead Installer and Foreman roles, taking on greater responsibility, leadership, and pay.

What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on, physically active role where every crew member contributes directly to project completion.

Typical work includes:

  • Install wood, chain link, and commercial fencing systems
  • Dig holes, set posts, and place concrete
  • Measure, cut, and install rails, pickets, and hardware
  • Stretch chain link and install gates and fittings
  • Operate equipment (mini skid steers, augers, mixers, etc.)
  • Assist with concrete flatwork and site prep
  • Support concrete cutting and coring operations
  • Install athletic netting and specialty systems
  • Load, organize, and stage materials
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient jobsite

Career Growth & Advancement

We don’t just hire labor — we develop leaders.

Our field progression path:

Installer to Lead Installer to Foreman

  • Lead Installers take on crew leadership, project coordination, and training responsibilities
  • Foremen oversee full job sites, manage crews, and ensure quality and production standards

Advancement is based on skill development, reliability, leadership, and performance — not just time on the job.

What We’re Looking For
  • Construction, fencing, or general labor experience preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physically capable of lifting, digging, and working on your feet all day
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment and tools
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record

Bonus experience (not required):

  • Fencing systems
  • Skid steers or trailers
  • General construction equipment

We’re willing to train motivated individuals.

Must be able to pass a drug screening.
