Job description

Commercial Manager – Fence Construction

B & W Fence – Laurens, SC
Full-Time | $55,000–$60,000 per year, based on experience


B & W Fence is seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Manager to oversee commercial fencing projects from estimating and bidding through installation and project completion.

This is a key management position for someone who can take ownership of commercial projects, communicate professionally with general contractors and customers, coordinate field operations, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates and bids for commercial fence projects
  • Proactively seek out new commercial fencing opportunities by identifying upcoming projects and bid invitations
  • Read construction plans, drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Communicate with general contractors, project managers, customers, and vendors
  • Coordinate contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and project documentation
  • Determine material requirements and coordinate ordering
  • Schedule projects and coordinate with field crews
  • Provide crews with project information, drawings, and material requirements
  • Track job costs, labor, materials, schedules, and profitability
  • Handle project issues and communicate significant concerns to company leadership
  • Maintain organized commercial project records

 

Qualifications

  • Construction estimating or construction project management experience preferred
  • Commercial fencing experience preferred
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects
  • Valid driver’s license

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who can own the day-to-day management of our commercial projects. This person should be proactive, organized, dependable, and capable of making routine project decisions independently while keeping company leadership informed.


Bonus and Commission Opportunity

This position is eligible for additional performance-based compensation through bonuses and/or commissions. Incentives may be based on factors such as commercial sales, project profitability, successful project completion, and overall performance of the commercial division. Specific bonus and commission structure will be discussed based on experience and responsibilities.
