Commission Fence information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a commission fence sales representative?

To thrive as a Commission Fence Sales Representative, you need strong sales acumen, product knowledge of fencing materials, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CRM software, quoting systems, and basic construction measurement tools is typically required. Exceptional communication, negotiation skills, and customer service orientation help in building client relationships and closing deals. These skills ensure you can effectively generate leads, meet sales targets, and deliver solutions that satisfy both the customer and the company.

Where do commission fence installers make the most money?

Commission fence installers tend to earn higher wages in regions with higher living costs and greater demand for fencing services, such as urban or affluent areas. Experienced installers with specialized skills, certifications, or working for larger companies may also command higher pay regardless of location.

What is a commission fence?

Commission fence jobs involve selling fencing products or services, where the employee earns a commission based on sales made rather than a fixed salary. These roles typically require strong sales skills, knowledge of different types of fencing (such as wood, chain-link, or vinyl), and the ability to consult with clients about their needs. Commission fence salespeople may work for fencing companies or as independent contractors. The commission structure can vary, but it usually rewards high performers with higher earnings.

What is the difference between Commission Fence vs Fence Installer?

Commission Fence generally refers to a fencing contractor involved in sales, project management, and installation, often working on commission-based pay. Fence Installers focus on the physical installation of fences, often with less emphasis on sales or project management. Both roles are essential in the fencing industry, but they differ in responsibilities and scope.

What are some common challenges faced by commission-based fence sales professionals, and how can they be overcome?

Commission-based fence sales professionals often encounter challenges such as building a consistent pipeline of leads, managing customer expectations, and dealing with seasonal fluctuations in demand. Success in this role typically requires strong networking skills, the ability to educate clients on different fencing options, and persistence in follow-up communications. Leveraging CRM tools, staying up-to-date on local market trends, and collaborating closely with installation teams can help overcome these hurdles and improve sales performance.

Job Summary

The Fence Flamingo is hiring a Sales Representative to meet with homeowners, walk their property, and turn fence projects into signed jobs across Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Berks Counties. You'll run in-home consultations, listen to what each homeowner actually wants, and guide them to the right fence for their property and budget. • Reliability and integrity (we win on quality, not pressure)
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • Sales or trades experience is a plus, but the right attitude matters most. Training provided.

Why the Flamingo Crew

  • Uncapped commission: top performers earn $10K+/mo with no income ceiling
  • Set your own schedule, part-time or full-time
  • Sales training and a proven process so you're never winging it
  • Warm leads from our marketing, so you spend your time closing, not cold-calling
  • A crew that has each other's backs. We work hard, we have fun, and we look out for one another.
